Coco is my 3 year old Kitty. I recently discovered that she has teeth and gum issues. I was looking for a natural product that would help with this problem. She would not let me brush her teeth! I have tried everything I can think of to get Vern to accept the item but he resists. He will not let me near his mouth, especially since he recently had his teeth cleaned. The best I have managed is to catch him unaware and smear it on his paw so he has to lick it off. I don't know how affective this is because it is sporadic. I do think it helps because he seems to feel better for a while after a couple of times. I do think it would be better if the capsules were smaller for cats.

My 14 year old cat threw up violently after I gave her 1/10 th of the contents of one capsule. At first she was attracted to the smell but after tasting it she didn't want it. I put a tiny bit in her mouth per the instructions and she threw up violently 5 minutes later. She was ill for a couple of hours afterwards.
Never used as my kitty was diagnosed with health issues just a day before I received the product and it was touch and go if he was even going to survive, so I never started using the product.
I believe I’m heading into the 3rd year of using this product. I got it for my rescue cat Mr. He was having breath issues and my vet recommended it to try. When I first ordered it you gave me a deal on a second. I’m still using the second bottle as I give him one every other day. I give it to him with lickems as he doesn’t like the beef flavour. He is now going on 9 and has better breath. Glad I found this product…thanks
Despite trying various medications and supplements besides steroids at the veterinary hospital with no effect whatsoever, and even undergoing surgery to remove all his teeth a year ago, his stomatitis did not improve. For two years, he endured constant pain, managed only with steroids.
However, three months ago, I learned about 1-TDC, purchased it immediately, and gave it to him. At first, he wasn't very enthusiastic, and it was difficult to get him to lick it. But gradually, he started licking it on his own. Simultaneously, the daily episodes where he would cry out in pain like he was having seizures and writhe in agony began to subside little by little. It's truly unbelievable, but now he shows absolutely no signs of pain. He no longer hides away in pain like before and is living in top form. It's truly unbelievable.
Certainly, it might not work for every cat, but since there are cases like my cat's, I really hope owners struggling with cats suffering from gingivitis or stomatitis will give it a try.

Been giving Cajun and Obi 1-TDC now for a good year. Their teeth are tartar free and they both enjoy full lives - Obi (9) is a certified therapy dog ( retired from agility) and Cajun (3) runs in agility. Both love to search at scentwork events.
I do think it helps my cat’s breath, but he doesn’t like me administering it to him. I wish I could give it to him more consistently! I wish he’d let me brush his teeth- so uncooperative!

I heard of TDC from another patient at my vet’s office. I was unaware that it was necessary to apply the contents of the capsule directly to my cats’ teeth. There is no fricken way I can apply anything to either of my cats’ teeth so this product doesn’t work for me.
Our cat Ernie needed two dental surgeries in three years. There have been multiple extractions due to his chronic condition. Since using your oral health product, his gums are now a healthy pink color, so much better! And he loves the taste.
I had high hopes for this. My cat has major mouth issues and they didn't make her feel the best. I didn't finish the bottle and was really disappointed. It was a lot of money...$90 bucks CAD for no help. I'm not saying it doesn't work, but it certainly didn't for my kitty.

Started this supplement for our 12 year old foster fail who has always had thinning fur and itchy skin since we took him in. Just adding this supplement to his food, I've already noticed the scratching has almost completely gone away and even healed some scabs I could feel on his head. Definitely worth a try!
If you can’t get the supplement into the cat, you can’t help the cat. My cat refuses to eat this stuff. He won’t eat it as a treat and if I try hiding it in his food, he just eats around it. I am done spending ridiculous amounts of money on supplements to help my older cat. Either he won’t eat it, or it makes him vomit. If they made it taste like Temptations Chicken flavor, they’d be golden. But no. Big money down the toilet, but I did donate it to a cat rescue. I hope it can help some other cats, but of course NOT MINE! The fact that these companies will not offer to sell sample packs so you can see if your cat likes it leads me to believe they are just in it for the money. It’s a big cr*pshoot. Maybe your cat will like it and you will buy more, but if your cat doesn’t, they still have your $32 plus shipping! I love my cat dearly, but this greed has got to stop!
I couldn’t get my cat to eat it. He tried chewing on it but couldn’t seem to swallow it. Then when he punctured it finally he didn’t seem to like the taste so I wasted money. Wish I could get him to take it.
Our little kitty, Honey, enjoys taking this supplement. I have noticed her playing a bit more, and he gums are less red. She has reabsorption and IBD and so far she is looking and acting much better than before.
when I ordered this my cat sleept on my bed, easy access. when the bottle arrived he started sleeping behind the chair in the front room, no access. One smart cat, lol. Haven't had a chance to try yet.
I’m sure it’s a fine product, but my cats don’t like it. It seems like an awful lot of product to try to put on their gums. If they were dogs, I could put it in a piece of cheese or something. Lol. I’ll try it again, someday…

I believe your reviews should hold off for a few months if you want to receive honest feedback. I started both my young dog and 21 year old cat (she has collapsing pasterns and no longer walks on her toes). It has taken almost 2 weeks for the cat to accept the contents of the softgel in her food. No chance that I can get it on her gums- she is a fierce fighter. My dog doesn't mind me applying the 1-TDC to his gums. He runs Agility, Rally, and Scentwork, hikes and needs that extra something to protect his soft tissues.

Teeth cleaning is important for removing tartar and plaque from your cat's teeth, an important part of oral health. 1-TDC® keeps the gums healthy, the major element of oral health. Ideally you want to do both. 1-TDC® complements teeth cleaning and other oral care procedures.
Can my cat with a beef allergy use 1-TDC®?
Yes. Allergies come from protein, and 1-TDC® is a fatty acid. So, any animals allergic to beef should be safe. Of course we recommend you consult with your veterinarian first who has a full medical history of your cat.
Are there any side effects of using 1-TDC® long term?
There are no known side-effects or contraindications with other medicines or products. 1-TDC® is intended for long-term use in dogs and cats throughout their life and they will not develop any resistance to the product.
Can I use 1-TDC® if my cat has health issues?
Like all other supplements, if you have a health issue going on with your pet, it is always recommended to discuss any treatments with your veterinarian. One case where you would not use 1-TDC® (and most other products) is if there is an active case of pancreatitis occurring.
Does 1-TDC® replace the need for fish oil?
Omega 3 fish oils provide great general health benefits. However, when it comes to joint health, 1-TDC® provides superior results. Also, fish oils provide very limited periodontal benefit. Therefore, continue to use fish oils for general health and add 1-TDC® for superior gum and joint health results.
What are the major differences between 1-TDC® and fish oil?
1-TDC® has an affinity for white blood cells, which makes it a more targeted and effective solution. Additionally, 1-TDC® is transdermal, which gives it the ability to effectively be absorbed and work locally.
Can I use 1-TDC® in combination with other supplements like fish oil?
1-TDC is totally compatible with other supplements you may be using. Our CMO suggests cutting the dosage of fish oil by 50% if you are giving your pet a fish oil supplement.

When should I start my cat on 1-TDC®?
Our Chief Medical Officer, a boarded veterinary dentist with over 40 years of clinical experience, recommends you start once your cat's adult teeth are in (around 6 months of age).
What time of day am I supposed to give 1-TDC® to my cat?
You can give your cat 1-TDC® whenever it is convenient for you. Before meal, after meal, with meal, morning, evening ... it doesn't matter.
Is the loading dose necessary?
If you have a young, healthy pet and you are being proactive, the loading dose is not necessary. If your pet is older or has oral health or mobility issues, then I would suggest the loading dose to get the 1-TDC® into the system faster.
If my pet does better on the loading dose, is it ok to keep them on that?
Yes, every pet is different, keeping them on the loading dose is ok.
My pet ate the capsule, do I need to take it to the vet?
No, the capsule is made to be ingested if your pet wants to eat it. But it is very unlikely that your want will want to eat it :)
My pet ate more than the suggested dosage, do I need to go to the vet?
No, usually they will be just fine. Worst case, maybe some loose stools.
My capsules are harder than the last bottle, are they bad?
No. Soft gels get soft in warmer, humid weather and hard in cooler, dry weather. If yours are hard, a trick to keeping them softer (easier to use) is to put a little piece of bread in the bottle much like you do with cookies to keep them from getting stale/hard. The moisture in the bread will soften the soft gels.
My capsules are stuck together. What do I do?
If the capsules are stuck together, you can put the bottle in the refrigerator for an hour and then just shake the bottle to unstick the capsules. If that doesn’t work, give us a call and we will send you a replacement bottle. We want you to be happy and we do not want your money if you are not.
Why is the gel color and texture different from my last bottle?
Color changes from batch to batch are normal. When you squeeze out the contents of the capsule it should be an oily paste. If the product has separated into an oil and a grainy substance, then the capsules were exposed to high temperatures in transit for too long.
Worry not, however, because its efficacy or safety doesn't get affected by high heat. That being said, if that’s the case and you’re still skeptical, or its just difficult to administer it in a liquid form … give us a call or email us and we will send you a replacement bottle for free.
My cat doesn't like the supplement. What do I do?
It may take a while for pets, especially finicky cats, to get accustomed to the product. Squeezing the capsule contents into an empty dish for cats and then putting a little treat in the 1-TDC® paste helps.
If that doesn’t work, try turning the soft gel into a toy. Let your cat play with it, get used to the smell, bite into it … and eventually your cat should start licking it. Just take it slow and never force it on your cat. Some cats just take longer than others.
Eventually, when you shake the bottle, your cat will come running. As a last resort, you can put 1-TDC® paste on the pina of the ear, and remove it after 10 minutes. That way it will absorb into the cat’s system.
