Meet Dr. Kangas

Dr. Kangas owns a private practice in San Diego, California. She uses an integrative approach to healthcare for pets by utilizing conventional diagnostics and/or treatment protocols in adjunct with multiple holistic modalities to optimize wellness. Her areas of special interest include food therapy/nutrition, dental health, acupuncture and pain management. Dr. Kangas enjoys teaching and shares her passion for pet wellness by lecturing and presenting locally, nationally and internationally.
Dr. Kangas also appreciates working at the animal shelter and improving the lives of homeless pets in her community, ultimately improving opportunity for adoption into permanent homes. She currently works part-time for the San Diego County Department of Animal Services, and prior to her pursuit of holistic medical training, Dr. Kangas worked as the full-time medical director for the San Diego Humane Society & SPCA.
In her free time, she enjoys nature, travel and numerous outdoor athletic activities, as well as teaching, writing, and exploring her passion for healthy & nutritious foods through culinary creations to share with family, friends & pets. |
